Billing Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers and a passion for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our billing operations and ensuring the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers based on the services/products provided.
- Review and verify billing data, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and errors.
- Maintain and update customer accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues and improve processes.
- Monitor accounts receivable, assisting in the collection of outstanding invoices.
- Generate and analyze regular billing reports for management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing, providing professional and efficient resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of billing procedures and accounting principles.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with billing software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
